I called to order an arrangement for funeral for a family member that had passed away in Whitmire SC. I am from Anderson so I looked on yahoo to find the closest florist and found there wasn't many at all. I decided to call B & B Florists in Newberry. I wanted to get an arrangement that was on their website and the lady said they could not do all white or any Lilly's due to low inventory and being end of week. Which is understandable. So I decided to just go with a safe choice and ask if they had any peace lilies. They lady said yes so I ask if I could get the biggest one they had and the one that looked the best! She said she found one it would be the 50.00 one and it had a bloom and it and ensured me it would look great! So after adding tax and delivery it was total $64.20. The lilly was ordered around 4:30pm friday 8/16 and was delivered next day 8/17. When I got to the funeral home we walked in and after a few mins I start looking for my plant I ordered and I SEE THE MOST UGLY BLOOM on this SMALL peace lilly and I stand there in shock and praying Oh my god do not let this be the plant I ordered! I go over and it sure was! My plant with a bloom on it that was Brown and WILTED!! I was so EMBARRASSED! I saw people looking and it and touch the wilted bloom and then looking at the card more than several times!!! I finally made my way back over and just broke the bloom off so it wouldn't look so bad at the funeral!! I'm sure the family didn't care what it looked like but when you take the time to order and put your faith in the florist to do their best you want to be happy when you see your arrangement! I called the florist monday morning 8/19 and asked to speak to manager or owner he said they wasn't in. So I told him what had happened and he said he picked the container out and said THE OWNER was the one that DELIVERED it! (WHAT????) If i was the owner I would have not left that flower there representing the company by no means! I would have stopped and bought another one! Anyways the guy i was talking to preceeded to tell me that "I GOT MY MONEY'S WORTH" and that He was for sure it didn't look the way I said it looked "LIKE CRAP!".
If I could rate this Florist a half star I would just for being on time.
