As I supplied my receipt from the credit card transaction, the proprietor said that she had put through a request for refund.
However, having made and paid for a reservation in December of 2016, we arrived on the appointed day in February of 2017 only to find that the room we had booked and paid for had been rented to someone else. The proprietor struggled to find record of our payment and said that the web site had been hacked, damaging their access to information.
We travel to Florida Keys often by way of I-26 to I-95. This inn is close to the interstate. We definitely would stay here again. RB
If you make a reservation, call and confirm it at least once.
We stayed one night at Newberry Manor when we traveled to Newberry to watch our nephew play basketball. The bed and breakfast was very clean and our room spacious. The owners were friendly and accommodating and the breakfast was first rate. We were served fresh fruit, cinnamon rolls, eggs, bacon, sausage, and fresh blueberry pancakes. Orange juice, coffee and tea. Because we were affiliated with the college we were offered The President's Room which is decorated in the colors of the college. Our nephew was also welcomed at breakfast for no additional cost. That was special for us to have time and space to visit with him. We will stay here again if we plan an overnight visit to Newberry.
Over a week later, the refund had not hit our account. I called the establishment twice, leaving a message the first time. On the second call I got an answer. The proprietor said that she had emailed me several times, most recently that day from a different email account (I searched my email and found no other messages except the one sent after my phone call). It seems the company that services her credit card charges cannot issue a refund (!) and so she asked either to use PayPal or send a check.
It is an absolutely beautiful home. You can see that it has been lovingly furnished. The owners are very personal and knowledgeable. The additional family members are very hospitable. Joy makes a breakfast to die for and Warren is a great host. We slept like a champ and we would love to bring family back to visit.
I'm sure this is a fine place for those welcomed as guests.

This was our first experience with a bed and breakfast and it was delightful! The house was beautiful, our bed more than comfortable and the breakfast was second to none. Joy and her family were wonderful host and they shared their home with us like we were family. My husband and I would highly recommend anyone near the Newberry, South Carolina area to stop by and spend the night - you won't regret it!
On September 28 my wife and I stayed at the Newberr Manor. This was a new experience for us since the previous B & B had closed several years ago. We could not have had a more wonderful stay. The owners/host were very accomadating to any request we had. The Manor is within walking distance to several restaurants and the famous Opera House.
